Earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR. Its intensity is 5.8. These tremors have been felt at 9.34 pm on Saturday late night. It has been revealed that the epicenter of the earthquake was in Hindukush in Afghanistan. 

Earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR late Saturday night (05 August 2023). The intensity of the tremors was 5.8. These tremors have been felt at 9.34 am. After the tremors were felt, an atmosphere of panic was seen among the people.

Its tremors have been felt in all three Pakistan, Afghanistan and India due to the center being in Hindukush.

Delhi is located in Zone 4 of the seismic zones. The country is divided into four such zones.Being in Zone-4, Delhi cannot tolerate even a heavy tremor of earthquake. Delhi is near the Himalayas which were formed by the meeting of tectonic plates like India and Eurasia.Due to the movement of these plates inside the earth, the risk of earthquake is highest in Delhi and near by cities of Himalayas.
