IAS Rupinder Singh : New Resident Commissioner of Maharashtra Sadan

New Delhi, 9 : Rupinder Singh has been appointed as Resident Commissioner and Principal Secretary of Maharashtra Sadan. He took charge of the post of Resident Commissioner from the in-charge Resident Commissioner Mrs. Neeva Jain on Monday.

Mr. Rupinder Singh is a 1996 batch Maharashtra Cadre officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and before taking charge as Resident Commissioner, he worked for seven years as Deputy Director General in the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) of the Central Government.

Unique Identification Authority of India is a statutory authority and a functional body under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. This statutory body has been established by the Central Government under the provisions of the Aadhaar Act, 2016.
